Guarantee (Roundbrand Manufactured products)

1. GUARANTEE(UPVC)

The company guarantees the PVCu frames against rotting, warping, peeling, fading and flaking for 10 years from that date stated on the order form. All hardware is guaranteed for 1 year against defective manufacture, and the sealed units are guaranteed for 5 years against the seal breaking down resulting in internal condensation. Any leadwork, motifs or bevels are only guaranteed for 1 year from the date of purchase, against peeling lead, lead or film discoloration or lifting of bevels. Any of these guarantees are invalidated if the materials have been misused, abused or neglected, or full payment has not been made. Our guarantee is limited to the value of any items proven to be faulty, consequential losses are specifically excluded. The guarantee commences from the date of despatch from the company to the customer of the relevant order. This guarantee does not apply to: 1.normal wears and tears during the 10 year guarantee 2. Any materials or components incorrectly assembled or installed 3. Any materials or components which have not been maintained in accordance with recommended maintenance procedures 4. Any materials or components which have been subject to accidental damage, damage misuse or which have been damaged during assembly or installation 5. All wood grain effect products which are subject to a separate 5 year guarantee. Not including full door panels which are not guaranteed. The customer shall not be entitled to any benefit under the guarantee unless written notice is given by the customer to the company promptly after a relevant defect is discovered by the user there of, including (relevant invoice number as proof of date of purchase). Please note our guarantees are to the purchaser only. The Company will NOT pay the cost of any additional work or labour required to install replacement items. We do not guarantee the finish of handles or letterboxes after 1 year.

2. GUARANTEE (ALUMINIUM)

The company guarantees any aluminium frame against peeling and flaking for 5 years from the date stated on the order form. The low threshold is not weather tested, therefore is not guaranteed against weather proofing.  All hardware is guaranteed for 1 year against defective manufacture, and the sealed units are guaranteed for 5 years against the seal breaking down resulting in internal condensation. Any leadwork, motifs or bevels are only guaranteed for 1 year from the date of purchase, against peeling lead, lead or film discoloration or lifting of bevels. 3. COMPOSITE DOORS

Failure to follow Roundbrand customer care instructions provided with the door could invalidate any warranty. It is essential to engage the locking hooks at all times as failure to do so can cause a misshaped or bowed door slab. A bow tolerance of 1.5mm per linear meter is manufactured tolerance. It is also essential to fit the door frame plumb and square. Failure to do so will invalidate any guarantee. In the course of normal use the surface of the pre-pigmented solid colours will not crack, or chip for a period of 10 years.  There is a 1 year guarantee against any discolouration. After 1 year a re-layer kit is available subject to price and availability. When exposed to direct sunlight over long periods of time some discoloration may occur, but this will be within the accepted tolerance contained within Delta 7 according to BS EN11341 for paints and varnishes.  This warranty excludes : > Damage from impact or neglect, > Misuse, >Malicious Damage  Frame must be fitted plumb and square so as not to invalidate any warranty. A bow tolerance of 1.5mm per linear meter is acceptable.

4. SERVICE ENGINEER CALL OUTS

All service engineer call outs will only be booked via THE PURCHASER of the goods, NOT THE THIRD PARTY in receipt of the goods.  A fee of £100 plus mileage is applicable for all requested call outs. The purchaser of the goods must be PRESENT at the visit, and any faults determined to be down to the fitting, and not the manufacturer or supply will not be undertaken by our engineer. Visits will be terminated if the purchaser is not present. Further terms and conditions regarding this clause are available on request. Inspection call out and subsequent calls will be fully chargeable.

5. SCOPE

This guarantee does not include labour cost involved in the repair or replacement of all products.

 Items not Manufactured by Roundbrand Ltd

1. GUARANTEE

Roundbrand Ltd will pass on the terms of guarantee of any components supplied by but not manufactured by Roundbrand Ltd. The length and terms of guarantee is determined by the guarantee offered to Roundbrand Ltd by the issuing manufacturer. Roundbrand Ltd will not offer any guarantee on items supplied by a manufacturer that is no longer trading or has changed ownership.

2. SPRAYED ITEMS

The company guarantees sprayed items for a period of 10 years on adhesion and 5 years on all other matters, from the date of application of the coating.  The guarantee period is under the condition that the coated product is intended for normal environment, not Marine, Industrial or Swimming Pool environment. Should the product not be intended for normal environment, a clear coat lacquer must be applied to enable a 10 year guarantee. This MUST be advised at point of order and will incur a further charge. A claim may not be made against the guarantee on the basis of 1. Act of God, 2. Mechanical Abrasion. 3. Weathering or other influences in excess of normal natural conditions whether known, unknown or not anticipated at the time of the issue of this guarantee. Excluded from this guarantee is damage
